Ortadoğu Energy, which is continuing its growth in the energy sector, is aiming to reduce Turkey’s dependency on foreign countries with its wind power projects. In accordance with this objective, as part of the “Hamsi Wind Energy Plant” project in Sinop, which was developed jointly with Demirer Holding who is experienced in this field, measurements had begun in 2012. It is anticipated for the project to begin production in 2015. The Hamsi Wind Energy Plant project, will have a 35 MW installed power with 16 2,300 kW Enercon turbines. Thanks to this wind energy plant, it is expected for 120 million kWh of electricity to be produced in a year and for 37.500 houses to be provided with this electricity. Our Hamsi Wind Energy Plant will also perform a 60,000 ton carbon dioxide emission reduction.
